In 1998, Dick became a founding partner of Highland Capital, a large brokerage general agency providing banks, money managers, and wire houses with insurance products. When Highland was purchased in 2005 by National Financial Partners, he elected to sell his interest in the firm and become a consultant with Bryn Mawr Trust, which was one of his Highland customers.
